Posting this for your amusement and subsequent face palm. I don't like to rush into things, but decided to go ahead and change the cabin air filter in my 2003 SSEi anyway. Guess which is the new filter and win a prize (must be present to win).

TIP: Go ahead and spend the extra $5 or whatever to get a filter already installed in the cage.

COMPLAINT: Why didn't GM give us an extra 1/2" of room in the hole the filter goes into? :angry4:

EDIT: I just discovered I wrote a techinfo article about 13 years ago for doing this task. I hope that wasn't the last time I changed this filter...I'll have to check my records. :roll:

Well, that filter on the left certainly doesn't owe you any more service.

TBH I didn't even know cars had cabin air filters until I got the 97' 528 and never questioned the Jag having one till last year.. The Bonneville and i30 didn't have them.
