Can anyone offer suggestions on removing the driver door of 1996 SE? Specifically disconnecting the wiring harness from under the dash?

The wiring connector is in the hinge area.

Thank you. I will have to check again. I tried to pull back the rubber hinge boot, but do not remember seeing the connector there.

Ok, the door wiring harness connector is definitely not in the hinge area. I have both ends of the hinge boot pulled back and no connector. I followed the wires under the dash to a connector. So from what I can tell, my options are to figure out how the connector under the dash comes apart, or to unhook everything in the door panel and pull all the wires through the door hinge hole.

The picture above is from a 1999 Bonneville as my Factory Service Manual doesn't have image support back to 1996. They must have changed it during the years.

I would figure out how to disconnect the harness under the dash so you don't have to pull the door all apart.

The problem is that I am 6’4” 300# with a bad back. Can’t stand on my head under the dash for long lol. Would be great to know the location and style of the connection. Only one button is visible and pretty small. Thanks again.
