Does anyone know off the top of their head, the size of the fuel line going from the pump to the line that runs underneath the car (94 Ei)? The line that goes from the pump to the fuel filter seems like it's thicker. Why doesn't it run through the fuel filter?

Anyone have any extra lines? I'm ordering a new sending unit with accompanying o-ring and clamp, and kind of broke the fuel line in an attempt to get it off the rusty sender unit. I'm told the dealer wants a pretty penny for the item. I'll check with them by the weekend if no one has any alternative ways to get a fuel line. Thanks!

How similar is the 94 to the 99?

Is a patch using fuel hose possible?

I'll likely be doing something similar this weekend.

IIRC the line sizes are 3/8" and 5/16"

I used to own putertopia's car so I'll chime in.

A patch is not an option at all because of the high pressure lines. My dad and I tried to fix the problem and patch it up to no avail. When dealing with gas leaks, just do it right the first time or you'll pay for it later. It will take time and cost money but that's part of owning a car unfortunately.

I think RockAuto has the kit with the entire sending unit and lines as one assembly.

Odd. I was poking around there for about a half hour with no success. I saw the line ends - that's it.

Yeah, you DO NOT want to patch a fuel line. Likely you'll end up puking fuel all over somewhere down the road, and gas is flammable and expensive. I broke the connector anyway - fuel line looks OK. They offer the connectors from RockAuto, but I just want to replace the whole line.

Reason it was dumping fuel:
