Hello everyone. I just replaced my wiper/ turn signal switch on my 95 Pontiac Bonneville SSEI and in the process the wires to to key cylinder switch had to be removed from old connection and installed to the new one. As far as I can see I’ve installed everything correctly nothing missing. At the moment of starting car all lights and whistles on dash come on but car will not turn over. The only thing I can think of is the security system is not letting me start the car. Any ideas or pointers would be great. God Bless and stay safe.

My experience - the ignition switch wires broke right at the ignition cylinder because of normal wear and then you looked at them. Pull the connector for the ignition switch, and with the key in the ignition see if you have the same resistance across the connector as the key has.

Thank you for your reply. The one test I did is ran some wires to my spare key chip and jumped it to the connector and still made no difference. Both key resistors measure .88 when tested. Thanks again.
