1st time posting so sorry if I did this wrong but I'm wondering about swapping out my column shift for a floor shift. I have the floor shifter out of my 02 SSE and want to put it in my 01 SE. I've swapped out the interior already. Just have the steering column to do and shifter. My question is, where the cable went into the ignition switch of the 02, will it go right into my ignition switch on the 01? Any help is much appreciated.

the cable should go straight to shifter:so the linkage to trans is right under brake master cylinder - the cable will go through the firewall and to the shift mechanism
