Rims would look great!!!
One big problem.
There are a bear to keep clean.
I have this style on my 2001 and the brake dust is a constant problem.
I have ceramic pads and they still must be cleaned every week.

I found a set of rims/tires on local craigslist, and picked them up.

Here is the IRL version of photoshop for those curious:

Now, I just need to find center caps, and track down my issue in the LF that is chewing tires.

Looks like those rims came from a 97 - 03 Grand Prix. You should try to bolt them on there before you get too far ahead of yourself; those wheels will likely be rubbing on the calipers.

Could you elaborate on this a bit more please?

He means that there may not be enough wheel offset to clear the brake calipers.

They may require wheel spacers.

I was hoping for data or a failed attempt previously

1st gen W's have calipers that stick out very far. I have not tried these wheels in particular, but basically any h-body or 2nd gen+ w-body wheel will not bolt on without rubbing.

It looks like you already have the wheels so I would try to bolt them on and see, but I'm about 95% sure they won't fit without some sort of spacer.

Here's an update.

I tried mounting 1 wheel to the right rear, only to find out that the tire is hitting the trailing arm. Spacers would likely be needed on all 4 corners for this rim/tire combo

So, now I am not quite sure which direction to go, whether it be wheel spacers, different rims all together, or cut my losses and stay stock. I am also not sure how much spacer it would take to do the job.

The goal is to get a wider tire with a bit shorter sidewall under it so that it doesn't drive on the sidewall when I decide I want to have a little fun.

I would recommend looking for a set of 88-96 GP Crosslace wheels. They look just like the bonneville wheels, but the GP wheels will clear all of the brakes and suspension and are also 16" x 8" wheels.
