I'm not sure that this is necessarily the correct forum to post this in, but since I am specifically talking to 2000+ owners, I hope it is.

I went to the dealer today to look up some part numbers and get some prices. Of the 10 pieces I had on my list, 6 of them have been discontinued or are paint to match.

My simple point is, if you have been putting off ordering parts, you might want to get to it, as it seems GM is phasing out some of the early 2000+ parts.

Farthest Right AC Vent - Not Available in Camel / Oak
Central AC Vent (Near Hazard) - Not Available in camel / Oak

Could have been a lazy employee too, but he kept pushing buttons and clicking after he would find it was unavailable or whatnot. Don't know. Will probably go to another dealership tomorrow sometime and see what they say.

That is probably because Camel is a very rare color. I think it might have only been an option in 2000.

What is the "steering wheel trim top & bottom" you speak of?

Those would be something that you would want to ask Ed Morad or a junkyard for.

it'd be rather hard to keep all of these in stock for all the different GM cars out there, I wouldn't expect them to keep them more than 5 years...but then again, the end of the series is 2005, same parts, and so has only been 3 years. Strange, but possible. Its pretty much why oh *shoot* handles come from junkyards. Not like they've got a load of them just hanging out .

Also, fyi, be sure to check on GMPD before buying stuff from the dealer. Part numbers are usually right on the part, so looking them up is seldom necessary. Also, Ed Morad would have most that, if not all of it.

Yeah, I usually go to the dealership to pick their brains to ge tthe part numbers so I can use them on Gmpartsdirect.com.

I didn't know Camel was such a rare color. That makes my job so much more difficult :( But I suppose if I can find it, Toupe would be close enough.
