Year and Trim: 2001 Bonneville SSEi
Firstly, hello everyone.
I'm new here, obviously.

I bought my 2001 SSEi on June 13th of this year, I am taking the motor and putting it in my 86 Fiero.
Car only has 77,013 miles, but the transmission is gone, PO used it has his winter car.

That said, I would like to transfer the HUD to the Fiero, obviously some "creative engineering" will be required.

Should I cut the harness after the HUD connector itself, or should I try to salvage it down at the bottom where the wire junction is?
I haven't done any research as to which wires are which at that junction.

I have searched here, on the Fiero forums, as well as google and have found some decent pieces of information regarding wiring, but nothing clear-cut.
Anyone have any advice or tips, or full on wiring diagrams for these cars so I know what wires I need to save?

Thanks to everyone ahead of time, any thoughts, tips, advice, and concerns are welcome.

Welcome to the club! Glad you joined us. Unfortunately, someone else will have to answer your question about the swap. - BC

Welcome! That's an awesome swap you have in store, but I don't think that's a 2003. Looks like a 2000-2001.

Welcome, you will have to keep us updated on the progress for the swap!

As for the HUD swap, it is all integrated into the dash harness and I believe gets its data from either the dash integration module or the instrument panel integration module. There are no wires for the HUD that run from the dash harness to the body harness. You will have to find out which module the data comes from and install that as well as the associated HUD wiring into the Fiero and make sure the module gets the data it needs to be able to output it to the HUD.

LOTS of Mods
it would be easier for you to swap a HUD from a 97-03 Grand prix.

The Bonneville HUD is very much integrated into the vehicle and the modules as Ryan Mentioned

I traced the wires from the HUD down to that junction that I showed in the picture. I do not yet know where that junction goes, I figured I'd ask around here before I started tearing things out.

Thanks for the tip, I will try and follow the wires to whatever module they run to, and carry that over to the fiero somewhere.
Would I feed the module simply by splicing into the Fiero's instument panel wires?
And do you think this module would need its own power supply?

Thanks for that info.
What makes the Grand Prixs and Bonnevilles of the same year so much different?
Doesn't make sense really, but there are a lot of things in life that don't.

How much easier are we talking when it comes to the GP HUD?
Simply splicing and connecting wires? I take it it doesn't need its own module?

Thanks for all the help so far!
