I picked up a set of Bonnie GXP Calipers, brackets, brake lines and such in June. I'm finally getting around to them and probably gonna throw them on sometime in the next couple weeks. I just painted up the calipers & brackets this past weekend. However I found that the banjo bolts for the brake lines don't thread into the rear calipers. The threads don't look messed up in the calipers or on either bolt. And the front bolts have stripped threads near the head of the bolt, which shouldn't cause an issue as they still thread in all the way by hand easily, but I figured I'd get new ones.

Well I'm having trouble sourcing these bolts. RockAuto only lists 1 bolt across all trim levels and it lists it as "front rear". There is very clearly two different banjo bolts between the front and rear (at least in the GXP's case). For one thing the GXP are fine pitched thread where the rear bolts do not. Anyone have any info or run into this before?

I'm not surprised, but the parts stores usually have every imaginable banjo bolt (except the motorcycle sizes) in stock. In case you can't find what you need on RA.

Well that was easy ... Sort of. Went to Napa and the bolts they had listed wouldn't thread in either and they had a limited supply of other banjo bolts. So I went over to CarQuest and found a match for the rears but no front bolts. Ended up running to Advance and found them both in the Doorman Help! Section.

For future reference Top is front (13912), rear on bottom (13940).

Didn't we leave the lines attached to the calipers? Seems odd that they would come out but not thread back in.

Yeah you did leave the lines attached to the calipers.

Now I just need to get new brakes lines and I'll be ready to throw these on. I'm getting steel braided lines from Pirtek made.
