Year and Trim: 2005 GXP
I just bought a 2005 GXP with 18,850 original miles. My question is: Do any of the former Pontiac Dealers that are still around as Buick/GMC still carry or can they locate parts?
My car is a time warp...looks new. They only part I want to replace is the front spoiler that is scuffed.

Front spoiler?

We would absolutely love to see pics of this car, the GXP is by far my favorite Bonneville, even though they can't be built like an SSEi can, they just have all the best of everything :)

Wholly cripes. Another stupid low mileage one...

Just go to GMPartsdirect.com

Otherwise, ANY GM dealer can get the parts you need as long as it's available in the NA SPO (North American Service Parts Operation). Or anotherwords... in inventory anywhere... It doesn't need to have been a former Pontiac specific dealership. They're all on the same parts network.

Thanks for the tips. I've got several GM dealers close to me. I looked on GM Parts Direct and could not locate the part.

To answer Crash93SSEI...the GXP has a small thin plastic spoiler under the nose of the car and although my car is spotless the spoiler was apparently used as a curb finder.

I'll post pictures as soon as I can figure out how to do it. This is my 8th Bonneville but first since I turned (128,000 miles) in my 2004 GXP in 2008. I was looking for a used car and found this on...could not resist. I've had SE's, SLE's, and now my second GXP.

You're referring to the air dam.

Part# 25764670 is the whole bottom shield/air dam assembly. I don't think you can just buy the little plastic blade that acts as the air dam itself mounted to the bottom of the shield.

Have you contacted Andrew (Harofreak) on here.

The air dam on my 2005 GXP is forever finding a way to scrap the ground without ever coming close to any curbs.
My wife's 2004 SLE has never rubbed.
Must be either the GXP sits lower or the air dam just hangs lower.

Good luck on your parts hunt, and welcome to the club. I await you pictures. What color is it!

Leon

Leon,

Thanks for the info and the welcome. Mine is the same color as yours...graystone metallic.

I'll try to post some pictures later.

I lightly sanded the bottom of the air dam to make it look more presentable. Over the weekend I'm going to remove it and clean it up further. Typically no one but me is looking under the car but I have auto insanity...at least that's what my wife calls it...

Regards,

David

Oh...you can order the part and then receive an email 3 days later saying it has been discontinued.

Hmm... have you checked with an actual dealer? They can probably source one. I need that piece myself, so curious if you do find a way to get it.

I tried. I was told the part was discontinued and no longer available.

If anyone else has any ideas I'd be glad to listen.

Where are you located? Mid Michigan Body Parts or Auto Body Complete might be able to get one.
