I drove my Bonneville to work! Yay!!

I want to drive my G8 as well, but it's way too salty and wet around here, plus I don't have collision insurance on it yet. I'll be putting that back on next month.

Bringing this back..

Conditioned all my leather. Replaced a tail light bulb. Gave her some synthetic oil. And installed some chrome door handles.

Although, I did notice this:
Image
Can someone help me understand what is happening here?

Also, what's up with this?
Image
Maybe not the best picture. That's right under the coolant temp sensor. Can't tell if that's from the LIM or a head gasket?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Top one looks like an axle seal leaking, can't tell much about the other.

Thanks Leon! Is this something I need to fix ASAP? The car is currently behaving as normal.

Got mine running yesterday, losing coolant and a couple other small issues to attend to before it's driveable. :/

Took off the rear wheels blew out the brake dust and painted the drums black. Lots of shoe left.
Small SS wire repair to a cracked front chin spoiler.

I can't think of many 4T65E's with higher mileage on them that didn't have dampness in that general area from a worn axle seal.

Found out today that the RGC needs a new radiator (not covered under the warranty). The bottom is "separating". This is a banner smurfing time for it to happen both from a $$$ standpoint and the fact that I can't fix it myself right now.

Just did a regular oil change, w/ rislone ring seal additive and engine lubrication additive. Greased my front end, and rotated my snow tires! Will be hitting the big 150k on the next oil change. :woowoo:

I finally put the grills on my speakers I put in the rear doors, and messed with my sub wiring and decided it's just old and worn out and will get replaced come summer.

I brushed snow off mine and drove it to work. Same old routine.

This winter is really aggravating me. I've love to post real progress, but that might not happen until July at this rate.

Today I finally put the bigger tensioner pulley on so that I can run the 3.4 pulley without belt slip.

Discovered that the rear snow tires on the G8 are almost totally gone, right down to the wear bars. Oops...

Moved the SSEi out of the driveway so I could chizel away the 3 foot snow/ice pile and moving it back. Only after finding it had a dead battery

60* :bwoohoo: Started to wipe down the interior with...er.......wipes last week then decided against it as the floor was dirty enough that didn't think it would stay just there. Today got it and the trunk vacuumed. Wiping down tomorrow should last me until Spring gets here.

Went to finally drive the G8 yesterday, and *click*, dead battery. So, I ran (yes, I used my legs for once) down the road to borrow a set of jumper cables from Napa (mine are still in the trunk of the LeSabre), and got it started.

This morning, dead again, so I jumped it with the Rainier, and still took the car to work.

Going to be getting a battery at lunch today. Not looking forward to that, as it's going to cut into the mod budget for the Bonneville.

I pulled up at work smelling coolant, and saw it around the injectors -____- guess its time to take care of that.
