Sorry. It took me a few days to get this together.

The Buick is absolutely totaled. I was going 50 in the right hand lane of a 4 lane, 2 each way, road, and a teenager suddenly turned across my lane while I was going 50. I don't fully remember the crash, but next thing I know, I had someone pounding on my driver's side door. I couldn't get out, so I went out the passenger door. The kid manned up and took responsibility right away. The adjuster for their insurance company is a car guy so... I pretty much got back every dollar that I put into the car. No major injuries. As far as the Buick, the frame is *fook*. It now permanently sits about half a foot higher on the back right side. Small overlap front end collision with the other car going about 20. It punched into the fender and then sent ripples through the chassis, door, roof, and the subframe, as well as shearing off part of the wheel.

My new car has a v8, but... it's german... and a sedan. It's been awhile since I sold all the fun German cars, so thought I'd go back for a little while.

2000 Audi A6 4.2 Quattro. Exhaust and tune are getting done ASAP and maybe suspension, but otherwise it's a waste to spend thousands on mods that don't do *shoot*. I should be able to get this up to 260whp or so pretty easily, and it will be quick enough for now. New motor is going in right now with t-belt, waterpump, new seals and tensioners for the most part, transmission was rebuilt last year.

Wow, ouch. Glad to hear the car held up as well as it did, especially considering the impact missed most of the major structure of the car.

Ouch man, that stinks! I loved your LeSabre, but I'm glad you came out okay. The car did its job to keep you safe!

Snow drifting FTW! I've been practicing with my rental car, a Nissan Rogue. That last big snow I was drifting around my neighborhood pretty good. I've managed to get all 4 tires off the ground once, and I've felt the back left tire lift when I was doing a roundabout. It's like the old joke... what's the fastest car? A rental.

Yes sir. Normally I wouldn't touch a newish German car, but the 4.2 v8 is pretty much their most reliable motor, and my business partner is an Audi guy and offered to help with any issues that I may have.

You say the 4.2 is the most reliable but in your post, you say you're putting in a new motor?

And glad to see you're all right

That's like saying all 3800s are rubbish because one blows its bottom end to chunks after it ingests coolant from any one of the places that like to mix coolant and oil.

But I see the irony.

Nonetheless, for someone who topswapped a LeSabre I think he can work on the niggles of the Audi.

Yeah, the blown motor was from a previous owners neglect.

I question the neglect part, but I will leave it at that. Good luck with it.

Trans and electronics are next.

Sorry to see the crash Devin. I wish I could have seen the Fishboat.

Also, Lane, the trans was already rebuilt. I think Devin's got the right connections for the car, and I know he got a good deal.

It's an Audi, never say never.

Heck, probably have to replace the engine once or twice more too.

It's a shame to see the Buick go down like that, I was really hoping to get to see that car in person some time, but I'm glad you're ok, and best of luck with the new ride!

Yes sir! My business partner, who I'm actually buying the car from, is an Audi collector and always has a *shoot* ton of 5 cylinder turbos around with sometimes over 200,000 miles with little to no problems, and my other friend via him is an Audi tech that fixes all of our *shoot* on the side. haha

He's really not the type to *fook* me over. I got in argument with him onetime and didn't talk to him for a week. Apparently he was real upset about it, told mutual friends how *shoot* he felt about and then apologized. I'm not saying that he's a bitch or anything,... just that he's not looking to burn bridges with me. He's a real nice guy and his license plate says IMAUDI5. Stop him and say hi if you ever see him driving around.
