Last year, I had to replace the strut mounts, springs, tie rod ends, wheel bearings, ball joints, and I missed the control arm bushing (oops) on the '93 SE.

For the strut mounts, I decided to save a few $ and purchased the Mevotech MP901922 strut mounts ($25 each). I figured that by the time they failed, I'd have to replace the struts anyway.

After 15K miles, they have no issues with fit or function. They do squeak when you turn the wheel back and forth. The squeaking developed after only a few weeks of service. My guess, based on my initial inspection of the part, is that the bearing supplied with the mount is the culprit. I do plan on replacing the struts on this car next year, so I will disect them further to verify. Other than that, they seem to work fine.

Figured I'd give anybody a heads up if they were considering these. Grease up the bearings, and the center mount point on the strut before assembling them.

I used that brand when I replaced the rear struts on my daughter's Regal this spring. The mounts seemed to be good, but a couple of the bolts that were supposed to be captured within the mount had fallen out.
