My fuel line from the tank to the filter went bad, so where is the best place to get one ? NAPA doesn't have them, is this a dealer part or anyone know a good place ?

my experience, no pre-made line is available except possibly from dealer. even the dealers i tried did not stock the item and if they were to try and order it, the oem line would be about $200,

i found a half line (correct connector on one end and about 12 in. of plastic line) at advance auto retail parts store. cost about $20.

so i cut the section of line that was leaking (my case connector was leaking as it attached to fuel filter) and using barb (supplied with kit) connected to remaining section from fuel tank.

i would have removed entire line including fuel tank end but try as i might could not get my large hands where necessary to disconnect from tank. i chose not to drop fuel tank for this repair although i might have to eventually if tank end starts to leak.

part number to look for at advance auto is 800-058 (other retail parts store such as O' reillys also stock this part under same number).

instructions say to heat the lines or use motor oil to facilitate connecting loose ends of plastic/nylon lines to the barb. also heat line ends in hot water. i used hot water for a successful connection.

new half line has been in operation for about 6 months and no leaks. good luck.

I tried finding replacement fuel lines for my car, no luck. Not at part stores, not even stocked at any dealer in the country. Best bet is to find someone with a fuel line making kit (mechanics shop) or hit up the junkyard, or what gmman suggests.

Yeah may have to get a fuel line kit from Jegs and custom make your own. IIRC its the fuel line is either 1/2" or 3/8" line, they have a kit that comes with flare tool (45 degree), tube bender, tube cutter, and 25' galvanized tubing of 3/8" tubing. http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS-Performance- ... Thanks for the help, right now I have 3/8 fuel line with hose clamps and it's working ok, but I would like to replace with the factory line, but that doesn't look like I'll be able to find.

You can replace the factory one, take it off, take measurements, and grab you a 3/8" tubing kit with cutter, bender, flare... viola custom line just like OE.
