THe reason why is because my cat is going bad. About time the factory cat goes bad. Time for a new exhaust system :banana: :bwoohoo:

Yup. It sounds like a blender filled with nails and it glows red. Also bogs my car bogs when accelerating. Fuel filter was changed recently.

well I think you have other fueling issues causing that problem.. That of course will destroy the converter... Once you get another cat you need to make sure everything is up to snuff, even before you mod...

So far i have a freshly rebuilt series 2 motor w/ new plugs and wires. Both my 02 sensors have been on the car since it left the factory. Previous owner said he drove the car for 3 years with lean bank SES codes and neglected to fix the problem (on the motor that blew).

Replace the front O2. The rear just monitors the cat.

The lean condition is what killed your motor....
