Hello fellow Bonneville owners,
I have been reading up on car engines and the way they work. I came across a phrase that was used when I had a question about my own car. The word is " displacement ". Could someone give me a laymans term answer to what that word means I'n reference to the engine. Thanks guys an girls. Mike :hail:

When it comes to the supercharged engines, there is another term that comes into play While our 231 motors are 3800 CC's or 3.8 liter, the supercharged engine has an Effective Displacement significantly higher. Most stock L67 engines here outflow most typical V8 engines, making their effective displacement far higher than the 3.8 liter mark.
