Can't thank you enough, Stan. Matt and Wendy are like Family to us. Anything that can at least ease their minds is well worth the effort, and I'm grateful you were close enough to the middle of nowhere to help them.

Utah is, of course, on the outskirts of nowhere. Drive 1 hour in any direction from SLC and you're in Nowhere.

No problem fetching the car. It will give me an excuse to play with the iPod adapter I just installed in the Silverado. Really didn't get much of a chance to fiddle with it during Saturday's trip to St George & back (5 1/2 hours one way, rode a trials competition, then drove back...it was awesome).

Baker City, Oregon. Final stretch. They're making good time.

Rubber Chicken Fetching is scheduled for NEXT weekend, not this coming weekend. If Wendy can't co-pilot, I might be available to pick up the duty. 90% sure at this point on that one.

Glad that they made it home safely. A big hats off to Stan for helping out.

Edit - Almost forgot Andrew...Good job on getting that PCM to them.

Note the parking lot sweeper in the pic with the chicken. That conehead was blowing all kinds of crap around while I was trying to load the chicken on the dolly. If the chicken had been MY car I think I would have pulled the oil plug and let it drain all over the lot as I pulled out.

Jerk.

I know of the infamous "white curse" with our Bonnevilles but lately it seems to have switched to a "black curse". Is it me or am I just delusional? :dontknow:

You're a victim of that one, Ray. Maybe it's just an Oregon curse?

Didn't GoldenBullet and 00Beast have black Bonnies at one point? Seems like a trend. I'm glad Matt is able to save the Chicken. Lord only knows how much blood, sweat and alcohol went into her!

Ray might be on to something...

White bonnes have small issues that piss you off, black bonnes die violent deaths, LOL.

Don't forget Wendy's tears.

Yes, this car will see the road again under it's own power. I knew I should have started on the next motor, but it was running too good and I thought it would last a little longer.

This time, I will be building up a new motor on the side as a spare. I feel a mini-meet coming on when it comes time to put the Chicken back together.

As for a curse, I don't believe it. The Chicken isn't dead, it is just on the donor list.
