Wow, that is pretty sweet. Quite often you see cutaway cars at auto shows, but not ones that have clear body panels made for them. I'd like to know too if it still exists - sadly, a lot of these cars are corporate throwaways.

It's probably stashed in some GM warehouse just sitting there rotting. Or it could have been dismantled years ago, who knows. I remember a while back a tv show where they showed a GM warehouse that stashed away prototypes from years past, so many cars just sitting doing nothing.
It's sad to think about because there are some really cool cars they never made/ released.

That's pretty cool. Probably in tribute to this one.

I don't think any vehicle especially one as special as that work of art deserve to spend the rest of its days cooped up in a garage or some warehouse and just be left to wither away and die. every vehicle should have the opportunity to see the world and the travel all the roads. That is the purpose of any vehicle. To ride on forever not end up in the auto retirement home

That car was probably not road legal at all unfortunately. My guess is it got destroyed within a year afterward.

x3 I have heard this is what happens to many of the show cars/prototypes if they are not in a museum they get destroyed.

The '05 Mustang prototypes got sold at a Barret-Jackson auction.

But they were sold as off-road vehicles, and not legal for street use.

Don't forget the H Body is a unibody vehicle, can't imagine that would be terribly structurally sound. But it is neat!
