will i be able to use my 97 shop manuals for my 2005? i bought the 97 manuals, that are new, then ended up getting the 05. i do not want to open them, if they are not compatible. thanks

Actually quite a bit will be compatible. Mostly with regards to the drivetrain (motor/trans/axles, etc). Brakes and other systems won't.

But since wiring schematics, etc are why most of us have FSM's, he shouldn't unwrap his 97 FSM's, he should send them back and get a set of 05's.
