it seems to me when having to undergo this job that when it comes to that last bolt to the left of the water pump that is covered by the PS pulley you would loosen bolt at 12 o clock on the steering pump and completely remove bolt at 6 oclock so you can swing the ps pump to the left in order to let you get acess of that dam bolt covered up by ps pump......

I bought a brand new bonneville in august of 98....it was a bonneville SE.....a great family car....at 40K miles I had to put a new plenum opf the car.....the transmission went out around 55 K miles then the secone plenum had to get replaced at 80K miles.......the by pass coolant hose.....black 90 coming from intake manifold to the belt tensioner is now leaking again.....guys I got to tell you.......GM's design of the cooling on these great engines was TERRIBLE

You can fix the plenum issues permanently. The fix is in Techinfo, link at the top of the page.

You are correct on the water pump bolt. I do not think it is that bad compared to the Series 1 where you need to remove the engine mount to get the water pump out. I replaced that black 90 degree when I had my LIM/UIM out as preventative maintenance so I never had to worry about it
