I purchased my 1997 Bonneville SSE anniversary edition from a dealer, it has 40th anniversary signets and flood mats. How can I check to see if it is really a 40th anniversary? Was told it must have a Y40 in the VIN to be a real anniversary edition, then I was told that isn't true, so I'm a bit confused. Any assistance you can give me would be greatly appreciated. My VIN number is 1G2HZ52K1VH260733, Manufactured in 3/97. Thank you

Y40 needs to be in the RPO codes that's located on the spare tire cover. Check that.

unfortunately it wont be worth much (if any) more because of the "40 Anniversary Edition" moniker.
