I was thinking of buying one of them when I go to Walmart tonight. A bottle of Seafoam is jacked up to $8.97 ($9.58 at oreillys!) and a bottle of Lucas is $4.58.

What should I get?

Neither. Or flip a coin, they're both good products. In all honesty, that type of product will do little for any car running decent quality fuel. Modern fuel has more than enough detergents to prevent buildup and poor spray patterns. Both of my cars proved this at 125,000 miles when my injectors were pulled and tested. And fuelinjent (member here) will tell you the same thing. If you want to run something, try toluene (or tolulene depending on manufacturer's spelling). This is THOUGHT to be a good-quality solvent for this purpose. Put one gallon into a full gallon of gas. It'll raise your octane a couple points too. Bear in mind I've spent many long hours working on fuel injectors with Chris, and learned quite a bit while I was at it.

If you're going to use off-the-shelf injector cleaner, use a name brand and don't waste your money more than once a year. $10 once a year should suffice for your peace of mind.

I'd use the Lucas as an upper cylinder lubricant instead of a fuel injector cleaner. If you're going for cleaning the piston tops and whatnot, Chevron Techron Concentrate, Gumout Regane, Redline SI-1, or Amsoil PI will do the job very nicely. They all have polyether amines (IIRC) or PEA, which helps any carbon accumulations in the cylinders or on the valves burn off. I've noticed a difference every 10-15k miles when I've tossed a bottle onto half a tank of gas.

Learn from the mistakes of others, that way when you mess up you can do so in new and interesting ways.
