My 95 Series II has 2 options: 2.86 or 3.06, it makes a considerable difference. I pull on a Series I from stand still very well and at high speeds totally obliterate it. Honestly a more close match would be a Series I S/C.

But i think that 2.86 is for S/C and 3.06 is NA, correct?

For me, I strongly prefer the Series I L67, however for NA I would rather have a L36. I like the S1 L67 because of the brutal low end torque it has, that the S2 L67 lacks. Don't get me wrong, I know a S2 L67 would obliterate a S1 L67, but still... I prefer low end. However since the L27 is sluggish, I prefer the L36 NA wise because I have driven nearly every series of the 3800 except for III.

Anyone have dyno graphs or numbers for L67, SI and SII, throughout the RPMs?

There probably are some floating around, but here are some numbers from Techinfo -

The 92-94 Vin L 3800 TPI made 170 Hp @ 4800 Rpms and 225 Ft Lbs @ 3200 Rpms Rpo L27

The 92-93 Vin 1 3800 SC made 205 HP @ 4600 Rpms and 260 Ft Lbs @ 2600 Rpms Rpo L67

The 94-95 Vin 1 3800 SC made 225 HP @ 5000 Rpms and 275 Ft Lbs @ 3200 Rpms Rpo L67

The 95-05 Vin K 3800 II made 205 HP @ 5200 Rpms and 230 Ft Lbs @ 4000 Rpms Rpo L36

The 96-03 Vin 1 3800 II made 240 Hp @ 5200 Rpms and 280 Ft Lbs @ 3600 Rpms Rpo L67

No. They are both for N/A. S/C is 2.93 on all SSEi's.

Well we are comparing apples to oranges here if people dont say exactly what they have.........kind of a bench racing thread if you ask me, which is pointless unless everone is moded, stock stuff isnt fun.

That would be the closest match. Although I know L36's can't quite hang with a SI L67. The L36 will be initially behind and won't catch up. Fast enough on the highway at the start might have them almost neck and neck. Mod it like mine, and a stock SII L67 won't quite hang at any speed.

You are comparing an N/A to a S/C car, not the same. And then you compare a moded motor to a stock on, its an unfair comparison.

Im not trying to be a douche about this, its just there needed to be more specifics when this thread was started. Only compare N/A to N/A and S/C to S/C and such. Cause they are both diff animals. :beerchug:

i couldnt agree more with ya..i had an L27;S1 L67 and ive driven a S2 l67 and personally i feel stock to stock who the hell knows but my vehicles never stay "stock" that long for me to notice...personally there all good starting points but even with minor mods there great fun cars..and thats including the PAU,SSEI,GTP and a delta 98 touring...in short..to each there own..i cant pick one id be happy with any of them..or all three
