It there a way you can tell if a bolt is a torque to yield? I took the roller rockers off my 99 and I want to make sure they are re-useable rocker bolts before I use the same ones to bolt to stock rockers back on.

Can you take a pic? I'm pretty sure the re-usable bolts that Intense sells are allen head, but I'm not 100% on that.

They are allen head now that you mention it, I forgot about that. I know the stock bolts aren't so I'd say theres a good chance they are reusable.

If they look like these; http://intense-racing.com/Merchant2/mer ... y_Code=HCV , then they're the ARP bolts that Intense sells. What are you planning on doing with the RR's?

I'm pretty sure those are the ones. I will probably put them on my 2000 if I put the cam in there. I'm thinking that camming my 2000 would be fun.

Should just swap the motors, lol. Would probably be easier.

The motor from the 99 is no good. It threw a rod. I'm putting a new trans and motor in from the 99 PAU. I have been so busy working on it I haven't posted about it much.

Really? When did it throw a rod?

I drove it to work a couple days after I got it. Going like 40mph gave it some throttle, like 50%...it was running KR free on the way to work, not sure what happened. But the #1 rod was laying in the oil pan when I got it home, along with many other pieces of metal. It turned out to not be a huge deal, I was planning on pulling it anyway to demod and replace the trans. I'm waiting of some parts to arrive so I can do a little rebuilding on the 99 PAU engine before it goes in.

I'll take some pictures of the carnage when I get home and post them.

So you have a 2000, and bought a 99 that has a bad engine.

Marty has a 99 and bought a 2000 that has a bad engine...

Goofy western MN boys.. Swap the cam in, and then look for heads! Remember how good Kyle's car sounded?

Yea I'm leaning towards putting the cam in my 2000, that would be sweet. I'd have a hard time selling the cam, because I know I would never get what a new one costs.

Any bolt that calls out for a certain torque spec plus a certain number of degrees is TTY. Stock rocker arm bolts are TTY.

INTENSE rocker bolts (Yella Terra) are not. They are re-usable. Torque spec is 25 ft/lbs.

A torque to yield bolt can be re-used if the length measurement is still in spec. It is usually very hard to find the length spec on the bolt though.

I knew that stock rocker arm bolts are TTY, what I meant by my question was if you could tell by looking at the bolt itself, because I wasn't positive if they were INTENSE bolts, but I now know that they are.

Thanks for the torque spec though, one less thing I have to look up. :)
