easy question do the 2000+ have the performance shift and ride options?

the reason i ask is cuz i tested a 2000 ssei with 49,xxx miles and i like it but its didnt have the power i figured it would and the boost was only at 6 psi most of time.

No performance shift and ride options. Just fast and stiff all the time :)

6-7psi is normal for a stock motor.

also a lot of them have 2.93 FDR's so they have a little less pep off the line but they take off good on rolling starts or passing in traffic.

With the stock airbox, you don't really hear the S/C at all.

All SSEi's are 2.93 FDR's.

You shouldn't hear the blower much in stock form. After you upgrade the intake is when you hear it. You can adjust the boost control actuator to get boost a LITTLE quicker, but its more of a mental mod.

it changes the feel of the car a little, also some people only get a very small amount of movement while others (like me) moved it over 1/4 inch and it felt very different to me afterwards. but by no means will you be gaining a ton of power or PSI from it

Thats way to much... like $2,000 too much.

The 2000+ has quite a bit of common problems. Check out the 2000 section to see what to look for.

mine has had a few stupid problems since i got it,

both rear window regulators
oil pressure sender
"service stability system" (still haven't fixed that)
several other things i can't think of right now but mine was treated rough before i got it and it had double the mileage of the one your looking at

Just deal with the problems as they come, there may not be any of those issues with yours. Mine had 84,000 on it when I bought it two years ago. First thing that went wrong was the oil pressure sender at 100,000, not a big deal, just put another in. Pass front wheel bearing went at 140,000 and now the driver side is going. Now I have 160,000. A true gear head will enjoy fixing problems, I absotutly love the 00+ SSEi! Granted i need a trans this summer, but meh! I can really start modding after I replace it!

Gotta love living next to grand rapids. I live in rockford but am moving down to the nw side (just north of John Ball Zoo).
And I have only had minor problems with my car, other than the tranny starting to act up recently. Never had a single repair over 100 bucks (for parts that is :) )

Me neither, the only things that have come close to $100 at a shot are 2 wheel bearings, from ZZP, but those were bought a few months apart. Ive gotten about 2/3 of my parts from ZZP, other 1/3 from Intense.

we probably should start a new thread but, did you know that you can buy a new colorado with the 5.3 in it?
