hey guys i recently changed the s/c coupler in the bonne and turnes out that the gears are worn too (mabey as a result of me) but i was wondering if i could put my s/c snout (M-90) on an M62 and just swap the blowers over??

Even if they did bolt up, the length of the nosedrives won't work. The m62 is short, the m90 is a couple inches longer. The m62 is completely different from the m90.

FYI, you can buy just the rotor packs, new or used.

Not a prayer of that swap. You may also want to try Morad Parts Company. He should have some blowers or maybe rotors/gears laying around for an M90.

M62's are a different bolt pattern to the LIM, and the rotors may be the same length as the M90, but the diameter is different. The bolt pattern of the rotor plate/nosedrive/casing is also quite different.

If your gears are worn, the bearings in your case may be the cause. You're talking about a rebuild on your case as a possibility, so getting another SC may be the best route to go if the price is right. This is very important, as worn gears are NOT very common on these things. You have to ask yourself why they wore out. Did you drive it alot with a worn coupler? Can you give us more details on the history of this M90 on your motor before and since you've owned it?

yes i drove it about 180 KM before i changed the coupler and thats what i thought may have caused the gears to go.. also there is 328000 km on this car but the rattle started out very light and started gettin worse now even with the new coupler its 10 times worse than it started as.. . do the bearings in the supercharger make a slight jingle sound when they start goin??

180km on a bad coupler didn't wear your gears. Count on long-term bearing damage causing the gear wear. I strongly suggest a replacement, and preferable already-rebuilt (or low-mileage) replacement.

Well lets go back a little.
Do you know for sure it's the Supercharger and not a idler, tensioner or Harmonic balancer pulley?
Did you remove the belt and try spinning pulleys or remove the SC belt and start the car to see if the noise continues with the belt removed? If it goes away with the belt removed, chances are you may be right, but there is still an idler and tensioner pulley to be checked.
Heck, your complete SC tensioner might be bad.
I just recommend checking all of the above (and then some maybe) to verify it isn't the SC itself.
I sold a rebuilt SC and had the buyer complain the SC was still making the noise. I drove 160 miles one way to him only to find he had mis-diagnosed and he had a bad SC belt tensioner. Cost him another $50 -luckily I had suspected this after he started complaining about his new SC and brought a spare H-body tensioner along and once that was installed he was a VERY embarrassed buyer. I even offered to refund 90% of the SC charge if he wanted to put his original back on (and buy a coupler and oil which it needed both), but he declined and said he was happy to have been a customer of mine rather than the dealer who'd have charged him over 6 times as much for the tensioner and rebuilt SC.

No, the M62 snout will not bolt up to the M90, nor is the snout long enough to reach the outer belt path on a S2 L67. The S1 L67 uses the INNER belt path for the blower, and has a shorter (stronger) snout as a result.
