Intense's FWI is inbound, and I was curious what the concensus here would be with regard to IAT location. The evap relocation method I intend to follow will be close to Bing's, post238863.html?hilit=Relocate#p238863
My understanding was that the most accurate spot for the PCM to get the intake air temp would be to have the IAT sensor as close to the TB as possible, where the coupler already has a spot for it, but is there a benefit to moving it out from the TB, closer the filter?

Opinions? Thnx.

Keeping it away from heat sources that will soak it has more benefit than placing it close to the TB, IMO.

I have mine kind of "mounted" next to the cone in my FWI. I eventually plan to install it in the piping right after the cone, but I've been putting it off.

I have the Intense extension harness, and I mounted mine in a PCV breather next to the cone filter. I have it zip-tied in place so it stays still, but it makes my air temps read a lot lower.

Hey as long as it stays put, I guess it doesn't matter how you do it lol. The breather I got was like $4 at pep boys, so I just figured why not lol. I had to kind of carve it out in the middle a little to get the IAT to fit, but it works like a charm. It helps for MOAR VROOMS! :twisted:
