Hi all

I was thinkin yeterday that when I bought my Ei the guy told me that the coupler was replaced in the supercharger and he was like here's an extra bottle of s/c fluid I didn't think anything of it at first I have noticed the s/c sounds like the coupler hasn't been replaced then it dawned on me why did he have a full "extra" bottle of fluid so I went to go check the fluid leaver and the screw for the drain is striped I can't even get it out. What would be the best way to get it out? And is there a part number for a new screw?

You'll need to drill and use an easy-out (screw extractor). Do not drill THROUGH, or you'll be pulling the nosedrive to flush out the shavings. I can probably send you a spare, but in the meantime, let's talk more about your symptoms.

Dagnabbit -- I just stripped out my plug too. Looks like the part number for this is 24500661 and there are still a few available new through GM parts sources ($8 plus shipping). I hate fasteners with internal securing designs (allen, torx, phillips, etc). This happens all too often with them.

IIRC wren has a source for magnetic plugs, although I don't know if they fit in the stock hole or if you have to pull the nosedrive and drill and tap it.

Pull nose drive drill and tap......................I know, I got one.

They are NPT thread. Not machine thread like the stock hole. I've done a couple dozen, actually. Including the bozo that just posted before me.

Some of my own superchargers also have them in the BOTTOM as a true drain.
