I have a 2003 SSEi with 135k miles. I have never serviced the supercharger. I have the car at the dealer today for an AC issue and I asked them to change the supercharger oil while it was in the shop. They told me there is no drain plug and that the oil never needs changed. Sounds odd to me. Is this true?

It's half true. There is no drain plug, the fluid must be sucked out through the fill plug, but GM recommends it be changed at 100,000 miles. It even says so in the owner's manual, IIRC. The best way to do it is to suck it out with a spray bottle top into the bottle it belongs to and throw that away, or use a syringe or similar, then fill using GM Supercharger Oil. It's a special formulation just for this application, and not anything like motor oil or any other fluid in the car. You can either get the oil from the dealer, in which case you'll need 2 of their 4oz bottles or you can get it from Intense Racing (www.intense-racing.com) or ZZP (www.zzperformance.com). They sell it in 8 oz bottles, and you'll need one of those.

Be aware that it smells to high heaven. It's made with whale blubber, and the stuff inside the S/C has been cooked, so it smells much worse...

Can this be mixed in with regular motor oil and taken in for recycling? If not, how do you dispose of it?

Use it as weed killer. And it's not whale blubber. It's animal fats, but very unlikely from whales.

If you want to mix it with your motor oil or trans fluid for recycling, do so. If you're wrong, I don't think they'll be knocking on your door to fine you for it.
