hey everyone...apreciate every thing you guys do
Let me start by saying i know nothing about bonnevilles or superchargers
some of you may have seen my car in pics and vids....I am a guy that would rather fish
than be fed...but, could use some help on this one.

i have a 92 ssei (the one with the ugly wheels lol)

*****at idle actuator is fully extended to full boost...lubed shaft with 3 and 1..
when opening the throttle hard the bca tries to retract to bypass

replaced cracked hardline to bca...turbo worked great for 1 night
next morning...no boost
pulled a 56 code off the history
test ohm resistence to the bcs..says OL(out of limit i assume)
when i unplug the bcs vacuum line coming from the supercharger or manifold (wichever)
the bca quickly retracts to bypass...

also ...i cannot find any vacuum leaks

I'm thinking bcs...what do guys thinkl

Here is a good link to use:

http://www.3800supercharger.net/diagnosing.html

Quote:
The next thing to check is the BCS (boost control solenoid). It'll be easier to check if you remove it from the BCA. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the bolt(s). Once it's in your hand, use an Ohm Meter to check the resistance across the two pins. I've seen BCS readings vary from 500K ohms to 1.5M ohms. Anything in that range is good. If you get infinite resistance or a dead short (0 ohms), you'll need a new solenoid. These don't fail often, so getting one from a wrecker is a good option.

Thanks to Willwren of course.

Hey Bill, I borrowed a link from your siggy. :booty2:

Yes, or otherwise known as an open circuit.

You won't get boost in park or neutral. So opening the throttle isn't a valid troubleshooting step.

If your actuator gets full travel when you 'trick it' as described in my website, and the solenoid reads OL, replace the solenoid.

Boost is fun, I remember when the Chicken ate a pulley and lost the belt. It sucks not being blown.
