found a mistake on page two

Quote:
The front bearing housing contains a special synthetic oil designed to keep the bearings and drive gears lubercated for the life of the vehicle without service. No attempt should be made to remove the oil reservoir plug as damage may occur. It is not necessary to change the oil.

What? General Motors making a mistake, impossible!

it's from a Buick publication dated August 1991, maybe it was the best info they had available to them at the time, or maybe they just blew it, I know the factory service manual for my '95 recommends to check the supercharger oil level every 30,000 miles, I suspect the same recommendation is in the '92 manual, so how they got it wrong here, beats me.

The 92 manual just mentions the supercharger's existance and when you need to get it out of the way to do something else.

They changed their tune around 1994 sometime. And it wasn't until about 3 years ago dealerships were even allowed to swap only a nosedrive. It was all or nothing up until then.

Their original stance was no oil change, no maintenance.

which sort of worked to my advantage, because about 4 years ago, just before my extended warrenty ran out, my coupler went, and the only way the GM dealer was allowed to fix it was a complete supercharger replacement. If I remember it was close to a $3,000 cdn job, I had to pay a $100 deductible.

Hoe

lee

crap.

I just finally listened to it.

The EGR has stronger springs in the L67...

I just figured out why my WOT fuel trims are wacky. I've been forcing the EGR open. For... like... years. :angry4:

I've got three valves, two NA and one L67. I know the one on the car is from an L27. I need to figure out which spare is L67.

:bhuh:
