Alright guys I've been following the forums for a while but just actually joined. I have a 99 SSE and I have a problem or 2. This is actually my third Bonneville. Having issues either electrical or fuel. I'm leaning bad bus bar my buddy thinks it's the pump. I know this information is in the forums somewhere and thought I had saved it. I don't have the green connector behind the battery I keep reading about and I'm looking for another way to jump the fuel system. Also wondering the best way to clean up the bus bat connector by the drivers seat. It's corroded and I had issues with it last year. Passenger side is clean but was laying in wetness.thanks for any suggestions. I posted this twice a little differently but I'm going t9 delete the other one

Are you seeing pressure at the shreader valve on the fuel rail? Is your security light flashing?

95naSTA no I am not. When it started acting up 2-3 weeks ago it seemed to be doing both. It kept starting and dying. Like as soon as you touched the pedal or went to put in gear it died. The security light was also on longer than normal. Now I have no pressure at the rail and security light is acting normal. When it did this last year I though the map sensor was also bad and changed it to no improvement. I really need to find what pins I can jump to test the fuel system. It doesn't start up when you turn the ignition.

No not this time. No fuel pressure and nothing strange with security lights. I need to find out how to jump fuel pump. No greenconnector

The relay is in the passenger side relay/fuse center under the dash. https://images.app.goo.gl/FwqXqXtUZYMPvwSr8

So I pretty much need to pull everything out of the glove comprtment or what's the best route? I had to get in there for something on my 2000 but I don't remember what all I pulled. What's the connections I need to make to test it seeing how I don't have the connector by the battery?

So it looks like the fuel pump relay is position n. The only one on the side towards the front. I've been able to access enough to get at them but I found no diagram. Going to pull and test with multimeter

Man when you start digging around in these you certainly see why it was a good idea using as much fiberglass and aluminum as they did.

So little update of sorts. Got to ip fuse panel and fuses all good, nothing obvious with relays although everything on that side has slight off color coating on connectors. Cleaned them up and did resistance test with ohmeter. Swapped fog lights for fuel pump. Cleaned ground on both sides, not that there was much of anything. Cleaned ground for horn and battery and hooked everything back up. Tried starting and nothing and now went into security lockout. Reset that and checked for fuel pressure which I now did have at rail. Tried starting g again and almost caught before going back into security lockout. Not sure what my next move will be but I do think I'm right and it's not the pump.

Tried again today to see what I can figure out. Wires in trunk lid were disconnected. Plugged that back in and security light went out. Had fuel first time then it cut off again. Is there a diagram of relay pin positions anywhere? I'm wondering if I possibly put one in wrong when I swapped them. Also maxi fuse for fuel pump looks good but seems a little odd. It rattles if you shake it. I didn't have another 20 Amp but had a 30 spare and tried that to no avail. Any ideas?

95naSTA that diagram doesn't quite line up with mine. Fuel pump relay is in the same position but the others don't match at all.
