Year and Trim: 2003 Bonneville SSEi.
Is their wiring different from one another? I transplanted a SC'D engine from an '04 GXP into an '03 SSEi. The engine from the GXP was machine shop rebuilt and ran smooth and is a series 2. When i ran it in the other Bonneville, it idled rough, but smoothed out at higher rpm.

This left me thinking that it could be the computer. I hope it is, because i plan to put this engine in another vehicle.
All help is appreciated. Thank you :)

Yes, the cam is a 3 wire and the crank is a 4 wire sensor.

Does it have any codes?

BTW an '04 Bonneville GXP had a Northstar V8 and the GXP in the Grand Prix came out in 05 with a V8 LS4.

I meant to say GTP...NOT GXP
Because they both have SC'D V6

Let me start over.....the GTP engine which was rebuilt, went in the '03 SSEi. It ran smooth in the GTP. However, once in the SSEi, it would idle rough but smooth out under throttle. That's why i asked if the cam/crank sensor wiring between the GTP & SSEi differs.
