Okay so if this has been discussed direct me to where I need to go please. So I have found the infamous water on the floor and have since repaired the splices and found the drains for the sunroof were off and draining in the car. Now I lost the passenger side brake lights with no power to the plug on the harness in the trunk. Both the driver and the third brake light work fine. I did add a jumper from the driver side to keep the car on the road but would like to fix them properly. Friday night the dash lights worked, did the splice repair on Saturday and now I don't have the back lighting on the cluster, no button lights on the radio or the heater control, but the displays work on all of them. ON the cluster the DIC works, all gauges work the PRND light up MPH lights up, bright indicator but no back lighting at all. Checked fuses but didn't seem to find one bad. One odd thing and I would guess it to be the rheostat, I tried the dimmer knob up and down, it turns on the interior lights but yesterday wasn't dimming the lights on the cluster that do light, but today it is. If it is the rheostat then where can I source one?

Double check the fuses in the rear fuse block for that interior illumination issue. I believe it is #14 or #38.

Andrew over at Bonnevilles Unlimited can get you almost any part you need for these cars. His screen name on the forum is Harofreak00.

Alright, in that case, you will likely need a new dash integration module in order to restore your interior gauge and control lighting. A resistor goes bad inside on very rare occasions.
