I got curious enough to ask Osram/Sylvania while looking for new license plate bulbs. I googled and didn't find a good answer, some even wrote that 2825 was just Sylvania's own number for one of the others. But they sell each number under the same lines of bulbs, and each of the 3 are listed as alternates for the others. This was their answer:

Quote:
With traditional, the wattage, amps, and life vary.

194 is .27A - 2500 hours
168 is .35A - 1500 hours
2825 is .41A - 300 hours

The 2825 will have the highest lumens, with 168 a little less lumens, and the 194 a little bit less than that.

So, there you have it.

I was also thinking the 168 was a tad shorter then the 194.

Interesting note on the listed brightness however....

Good info here. I was just looking at replacing all of the factory 168 bulbs in the instrument panel in my GP and was curious what the difference was.
