Try the bong test again. Most likely your drivers door handle won't bong. Which means it's switch is bad.

MALL's do need to be programmed for any features your car has that the donor car may not have had. It is easy to get same featured modules though.

so they do need to be programmed or calibrated to our cars..hmmmm

so get one from a same option'd donor car..good point Bill

okay, so I'm trying to test my door switches, and the dark blue wire doesn't have power. Any chance you have a diagram showing what is supposed to power it? It appears to connect to the BCM, but I'm not getting any power on the dark blue wire there either.

Whew! Finally got them working right. So, the final diagnosis is: the original BCM was bad, and a blue wire (door switch) was spiced with a wire going to the Viper security system thats on the car (not operational), which shorted out causing the lights to remain on with the new BCM. I removed the Viper feed from the blue wire (drivers foot board/door jam), and everything works properly now. Thanks to all of you that helped, Mike especially. Thank you. I'm excited and feel like I have a new car (until the next project). Pictures coming soon..

=D> =D> =D> Great news. Did that also cure the issues you were having with the exterior lights & horn when using the remote?

Yep, sure did. Everything works properly now. Now I'm thinking about starting an engine project. This junkyard here (pick n pull) sells all there engines for $189. So I'm thinking about finding a 3800.2 with low miles to rebuild. However, that may be too big a project for me. But it does sound rewarding.
