As it says in the title my Headlights are always on while im driving no matter what time of day it is, its not really that big of a deal except that i don't want it to blow one of my low beams sooner. im unsure whats causing this issue but i have checked the DRL relay and changed it with a new one and also have checked the fuse and it is fine im guessing its going to be the sensor but i hope im wrong and was hoping one of you guys may have a different solution to my issue?

Thanks for all help/time in advance :beerchug:

Unlikely since you'd notice your wipers on, make sure your wiper control is 'Off'. Any time the system senses you're wipers have been on more than six seconds (intermittent setting included) it will turn on your low beams.

There should be two knobs labeled lights on the dash left of the steering wheel. I have had the same problem. You have to fiddle around with them/and the ignition key settings to get the lights to shut off. And when I found the right setting they still took a few seconds to shut off.

You can download the owners manual pretty easy.

Burnt Bonny.

Note if you pull the injectors to obserbe fuel delivery...make sure you leave the plugs in and disconnect the ign. Believe me

I had a sun load sensor go bad once on the '00 - it was causing it not to turn off lights.

You hit the nail on the head :bwoohoo: but here is the real odd thing i drove for about 45 minutes and my wiper blades never moved?
but after i turn them off and back on magically they started working again :dontknow: o well one problem down.

My mom's Terrain works similarly with her high beams. If you turn them on but don't turn them off, next ignition cycle they will be off. I couldn't remember if the Bonneville wipers were like this because I added RainSense to mine so it's quite normal for them not to operate unless it senses water. One more instance of 'Always follow your gut' I suppose and that's what my gut was telling me it may be.

GM's belief is that if the wipers are on for more than six seconds, a low visibility condition may exist so it turns on all your regular lighting. It's a safety feature.
