What's up everyone?! I had a quick question. I just replaced the fuel sensor on my 04 bonneville gxp, and now the digital gas reading is always bouncing around. Does anyone have any ideas on what it might be???

Does the gauge do the correct sweep on startup? 02+ are known for faulty stepper motors in the cluster. I repair them for $75.

Yea it does. The only one that doesn't do it is my battery gauge. That stays all the way to the right

I'd still guess its a batch of faulty stepper motors. I replace all 6 motors and all 8 backlight bulbs.

My car does the same thing.. what you should do, is drop the gas tank, and check the sending unit. GM did a butthole job when makin the sending unit, thats what i need to do to mine. it'll be accurat until down to like 3/8's tank then it'll start going back uo and it gets hairy.. especially when it'll go from 1/4 tank back up to full.. so check the sending unit, and if thats the case then might aswell replace the fuel pump while under there. dont know the cost, but i bet that is your issue if its anything like mine
