I can not find any kind of sensor at all. If I slam the door, for one small little bit of a second, the light goes out and it immediately dings and says it is open. if i close it normal, or while closed it thinks it is open the entire time with no ding or change. I did replace the actuator the other day ( panel is off too )

is the lack of a complete circuit causing it? or is the something i missed? Where/What is the sensor for when it is or is not closed?

Thanks in advance....

Sounds like your "Door Ajar" switch is sticking. Mainly caused from dirt and dust. Spray a generouse amount of WD-40 on all your door latches and see if that fixes your problem. My old 2001 SSEi i used to have had this issue and this is how i fixed it.

That whole thing was just taken out, and put back in to install a new actuator.... what part of that is the "switch"

Either you put something back on wrong or your switch is messed up. Try soaking the door latches in wd-40 and see if that helps. It did for me. Someone will chime in if there is a different way that i do not know about.
