All of a sudden, the car sounds terrible when trying to start it and it often doesn't want to seem to start. At the same time, the TRAC, Brake and ABS lights are on and the DIC says to check stability system, anti-theft and tire pressure. This all started last week when I pulled the alternator so that I could change the coolant elbows. After looking for a few minutes for the radiator drain, I just decided to pull the elbows and let whatever coolant there was above the elbows run on the bottom of the engine and the garage floor.
I did not disconnect the battery when I did the work but just disconnected it at the fuse box under the hood. I made sure the connections were clean and tight at the fuse box and the alternator but after I had all the troubles, I went back and double checked and everything still looked good. Since the battery was 6 1/2 years old, I replaced it this morning but that didn't help.
Prior to all of this, the car start perfectly with just a touch of the starter. I'm hoping someone can steer me in the right direction.

I was half tempted to not post the solution since it is more than a bit embarrassing but if it helps someone in the future, so be it. At any rate, the car refused to even turn over the other day and after I got done saying a few of the words my parents told me never to say, I got out my dvm to check things out. As soon as I pressed on the terminals at the fuse center, the cables moved. Even though I'd had it apart 3 times and swore it was tight when I put it back together, it turns out that the threads are just tight on the fuse center post and I had to tighten things down a lot harder than I would have guessed.
I understand that the loose battery cable would cause either hard starting or a no start condition but all of the warning lights was the part that confused me.
