I think for resale purposes you'll just disclose the odo error on the title. Shouldnt actually affect the value unless the buyer doesnt trust you.

I don't think there will really be an issue here, he basically just added 13k miles. I get the impression that he is not gonna sell this car either, so it won't be an issue anyway.

Yup, I'll drive it til the wheels fall off or I run out of motors to put in it :D As far as the Odometer goes, if I turn it over and then back to where the original mileage was, that's not cheating or lying, just correcting an error. More of the "general" public would be inclined to think I was lying about the 13k error in the first place. Nonetheless, full disclosure is always best.
