The electronic dash in my 93 SSEi goes off and onincluding gas, oil, boost gauges and compass and driverinfo center. It will come on and stay on for 15 minutes or so and then go out and stay out for days maybe. Any suggestions as to where to start looking? The speedometer and tach always stay working.

Had the same problem in my old '93 SSEi, never did find the problem. I checked all my grounds, pulled the cluster apart multiple times, and also made sure all the connections were tight on the back, still no luck.

I plan on looking into it further this spring / summer as I sold the car to a friend, I think it is a bad solder somewhere on one of the boards.

Had the same problem on a '93 SSE. Cleaning all the connections didn't change anything. I took the cluster apart, and resoldered all of the large connections, and connections that contained large, heavy components. That fixed the problem.

Same problem as well, cleaned connections and everything but no luck, so one time I tried to take it apart but got frustrated and it has worked flawlessly ever since... :dontknow:

Maybe the dash felt your waves of frustration and decided to stop rebelling?
