Looking for rubber rejuvenator.

I have seen several cars and trucks that the black rubber trim looks blotchy like fungus or bacteria is eating on it. Scrubbing with comet and a rag helps a little but not much. So far all I have used silicone based spray and back-to-black with little change.

Is there any way to restore the damaged rubber?

Ron:
I have never heard of a product that will bring life back into rubber once it has begun to deteriorate.

The best you can do is replace it and use product to help slow down the deterioration.

You may want to use 303 Aerospace protectorant. I use it after every other car wash.

You could try back to black, depending on how bad it is, it might work in a marginal way.
Door trims and such I use AC Delco door seal lubricant, it brings back some shine, and moistens the rubber as needed.

However, as stated above, replacement might be the best bet, to get the perfect look.
