I think the obvious thing to do would be:
Drivers side, dark rims: (Appeases Will)
Passenger side, gold rims: (Appeases Katie)

Huh, huh?? Pretty good idea from a stupid Canuck, eh??

Adam

Can't wait to see the results...

Because we were taught not to dish it out unless we could take it. And since we like to dish it out to our southern neighbours, we also prove that we can take it by laughing at ourselves also. :beerchug:

Why not black? That'd go with the VHT NightShades on the tails.

The paint I have is at least a couple shades darker than the PS. Can you do a couple quick darker shade samples and post 'em? I'll try to come up with a more accurate 'paint sample' for you.

LMAO!

What a great thread!

I guess I missed this one earlier. Sorry I did. As to a vote, I think I'll reserve mine until I see a PS of what Bill has in mind.

I am normally not a fan of the really dark wheels, just personal preference I guess. I have seen a couple cars where it was done just right and looked OK, though.

On the other side of that, while the golds were quite common for the green Bonnevilles, the early '90s greenies are becoming less and less common, at least in these parts. Now when I see some G-Golds, they really catch my eye.

BTW, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that Bill said he was going to use the other golds for winter tires, not summer tires. Did I get that right?

Correct. Darkies for summer tires, OEM's for winter (3-4 months of the year).

Tallest can in this pic:

I'd shoot a pic of the can lid I have, but it's not really going to come out without some natural lighting and a little clear over it. But that'll give you a closer idea of what it is.

I've used this same stuff (the bronze) on my slick rims. Incredibly tough, durable finish. Here's the main page:

That is the exact color paint I used. I think it would be a good look for zilla even though I originally voted for keeping the rims gold.
