My tail light deal is backing out on me. I do have to admit, I'm not the brightest bulb in the tail light housing. It feels like I am being signaled to turn from the tail lights. The tail lights have their brake lights fully on for this situation.

And if you liked that onslaught of horrible puns, you will like this even more! I have a burned out tail light and am totally clueless about how to remove the stuff to get to it. I see some 10mm nuts, but removing those will not help me remove those plastic pins from the underside of the tail light housing. I first tried searching, but tail lights are just such a popular topic here for various other reasons that I could not be helped by the search feature.

Remove those 3 - 10mm nuts and it will come right off. I don't know what you are talking about plastic pins...

There are more than 3 nuts. I parked the car backwards to have easy access to it from the garage. Hopefully I will be able to do this. It just looks so odd. Why isn't it nice and easy like the 94?

There's a cover over everything. In the 94, I could change bulbs without taking out the tail lights. Not here, though. Also, I am having trouble pulling out the plastic pins in the center. One of them is slightly chafed from my efforts. I'll give it another shot and see what happens.
