Just decided that the side-cladding on my 94 SE was a bit much, as it stuck out from the bumper covers when viewed straight down the side. Plus, I got kinda pissed one night by my right front door not unlocking, and kicked the sh*t out of it, resulting in the cladding "falling" off! Lots of metal "studs" there kept it in place, I found out. I thought "No big deal", remove all side cladding and grind them flat and smooth the doors. I am no body man, I soon realized. So, I took my car to my local Maaco. I know. Bad, right? Guess what? Maaco did a FINE job of removing the remaining body cladding, grinding off the "studs", and repainting my car Obsidian Black. Granted, I had to go back a couple of times to get it "just right", but they worked with me, and it looks WAY BETTER than the peeling clear-coat that I had before! It's not 100 point perfect, but for $650.00, I'll take it! We'll see how long it lasts. Will post pics asap, as soon as Maaco takes out the swirl marks they made on my last come-back visit. I am taking full advantage of their warranty, as y'all can imagine! I think they may hate me............

Oh man. Well we have heard several horror stories from Macco but some people manage to have it done right.

I think the Bonneville would look interesting without the cladding. Looking forward to your pictures.

Interesting, I seen a Bonneville yesterday without any side cladding. It looked kind of boring but definately different.
