Is there any way to change the color of the dash lights? I want to make the enire setup blue instead of blue... I have a feeling its not the bulbs that make the color though... if its not the bulbs is there a way i can change it to blue anyway?

I know a guy who did this in a GTP. However he did it, he says he wouldn't do it again. Too much work for the results he got, although it did look cool.

As would I, obviously impractical, coupe, gas, lowering springs, etc. Plus, I have a personal rule, my cars get mods done by ME. I build rather than buy. I couldn't have called that car my own like I can with these. :btruestory:

There is no way to change it. All the bulbs are white, and the buttons and gauges have a red film or coating. Blue bulbs would give you purple/red lights.

Then could I technically take off all the parts and open them up and scrape the red film off?

I have my old beat up shift indicator, I'll look at the back of it tomorrow and experiment. IDK about Bonnies, but I know it's been done on that GTP, and I've seen other cars as well online.

That would be a metric *shoot* ton of work, and you couldn't do it to the gauges, the red film is sandwiched in the gauge overlay pretty much.

Like I said, I have NFC how he did the GTP lights, he did the cluster too, I can't find his thread for the life of me, or the pictures he used to have on photobucket. I wish I knew his username... :banghead:

I'm guessing, by my quick test anyway, that the Bonneville's and GP's have different ways of making the assorted interior parts light up red. I had my old shift indicator plate and tried a couple of solvents on it, and no red came off. I still have no way of contacting that GP guy though. Oh well, looks like that's all she wrote on this one...
