on my 2002 bonneville the ceiling fabric is becoming loose above the rear window. the polyurethane foam? separates from the roof and fabric. any suggestions on how to reattach the fabric?

Many people have done many temporary fixes, but they are just that.

The real fix would be to pull the headliner ans replace the fabric. The foam backing breaks down and allows the material to sag.

Here is the techinfo proceedure: http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=9352

I need to do this on my 88 Buick.

Do you think the headliner would still be able to fit out the door?

Ed, they install it through the windshield opening from the factory ;)

It will probably still fit out the door. You just might need to bend it slightly.

Well, my fingertips are raw BUT the headliner is out.

I found out there is NO function for the driver seat to recline. Wtf?

And I tired getting it out back door. No go...

So flipped it around and it came out the front passenger door with a little bending.

I also found out the trim pieces around the door are not rubber like the newer cars.
They are made out of METAL. All the trim around the door is metal. It was a bitch and would not come off. But I got it off.
