Year and Trim: 98 Bonneville SSEi
I looked on several sites and it looks like GM has discontinued the seat material to redo the seats on my 98 SSEi Bonneville, I have leather seats but I would like to get them recovered in the original cloth material if its still available somewhere, I could probably take it to an upholstery shop but I could possibly do it much cheaper if I can find the NOS original covers. I just sold my old 88 SE Bonneville with cloth bucket seats I wish I would have kept the seats, those were way more comfortable than what I have now.

I'd say junkyard, pretty good possibility you'd find what you're after. Even if it is dirty you'll be surprised how clean they'll get.

As long as you know how to reassemble them it shouldn't be that bad. They won't fit the same because of the differences between SE and SSEi seats (I'm thinking the side bolsters). I still think its possible to swap over to cloth if you want it that bad. Maybe having an upholsterer do the switch would be easiest. These cars aren't getting any younger so some parts can't be had anymore. :sadeyz:

are you talking about just re-upholstering the seats with cloth? i've found cloth buckets in junkyards, i just wasn't looking for them. They are usually a bit dirty, but like Bing said, they should be pretty easy to clean.

I swapped my cloths for leather buckets about a month and a half ago, and had to switch the power passenger seat to a manual because i had an amp mounted under the passenger seat. I kept the power base tho, because I plan on relocating the amp eventually, and it would be sweet to have a power passenger seat. If you know what you're doing, the seats are pretty easy to work with. If you don't know what you are doing (like me), they are still pretty easy to work with because they have almost no learning curve, you just have to look for screws/bolts and take them off.
