I got in a wreck a while back and my rear bumper has been pushed in on one side for a while. I was told that by using a scissor jack i could pop it back into place. I tried it and got a big noise, but not much result.
Should i try again or is there another way to straighten it out?
It's pushed far enough up that its pushing against the trunk lid, and it just looks crappy.

The cylinder on the inside is collapsed in a bit. The bumper is pushed in and up..

Sounds like the bumper shock has been collapsed. They are meant to be replaced once they have been collapsed. See if you can borrow a camera to get a picture. Also get a picture of the bumper shock so we can see if it is collapsed.

Well I'm pretty sure that i know what you're talking about. Is there one on each side bolted to a plate attached to the bumper? If so the right side is knocked in.

So the fix is to get a new one. Can it come off of any model?
